Jazz

Sheila Jordan invited Kim to join her on stage at the Jazz Club Pompoen after hearing her sing. After that  she was asked to be master of ceremonies there for a summer season .  

Kim has performed in all the well-known jazz clubs in the Netherlands with musicians such as Berend van den Berg, Joost Kesselaar, Steve Altenberg, Sven Schuster, Thomas Anderson, Cees Post, Steven Hupkens, Clous Van Mechelen, Panc Daalder, Leo Bouwmeester, Menno Veenendaal, Bart van Helsdingen, Victor de Boo, to name just a few. She has been heard on radio and seen on television.

Her band plays swing and old style jazz, pop ballads and smooth sensual blues.  An atmosphere of warmth and nostalgia reflecting that timeless quality reminds you what is good about life. The repetoire is made up of songs from Ray Charles, Dinah Washington, Chet Baker, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller , Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.

You can book a duo with her and pianist Leo Bouwmeester or a trio or  a quartet or even add a saxophone, the choice is yours. Kim is more than just a jazz singer, she is a vibrant performer, in love with life and people, it's something kind of magic.
